Kite

Swaying
gently,
Tugging
hard.

SS # 39: Change

A crisp note
flung away.
Floating gently,
rests on the ground.
I see his face.
Tears
Spring to my eyes.
I
who has not cried once,
crying over a damn picture.

Years pass by.
Snow,
Heat,
Flowers,
Colours,
A new moon every month.
My hair is now grey.
How I used to despite that colour!
Learned to accept my life--
without him.

Ring Ring!
Hello?
Hi,
this is Jake Harrison.
Can I talk to Dolly?
I gasp.
Twenty years...
and now...!

I'm sorry,
Mr Harrison.
She had a heart attack.

Say Smile

Say smile
And I picture a light.
Say frown
And it turns to a crow.

Say angel
And I picture a watcher.
Say devil
And it turns to a tempter.

Just Thoughts that Crossed My Mind

Say smile
And I picture a light.
Say frown
And it turns to a crow.

Say angel
And I picture a watcher.
Say devil
And it turns to a tempter.

I Can See Through that Smile

A smile is plastered on your young face
Your eyes are closed
But inside are a mourning eyes-hazel.
Nobody knew better than I what you had to face.
But cheer up, young soul
For people are here
In black robes-how you hated that colour!
I can see through that smile.
I can see you weeping by your bed-
maybe you don't know-
Only I remember.
Your head bent
to a God you don't believe in.
On your knees
for a God you don't love.
How sad your life passed!
How sweet a face you had!
Hypnotising everyone in a a hand's distance.
But I can see through your smile.

Guilt

Guilt tugged at his heart.
Like his son
When he wanted to be heard.
Eyes watched
Glinting
Like specks of silver.
Phone on the table
was like an eye-magnet.
Anybody could call,
Realization struck him
Like a lightning bolt.
He jolted up.
Damn conscience!
he whispered.
Blood-stained knife in his hand,
And looked around him
For the last time.

I'm Alive

Trapped.
In the eyes of a tiger,
Fears
reflect my soul.
Run.
Can I ever stop?
Arabian steed
galloping away.
Breath,
So loud in silence,
Music,
I'm alive.
Blood.
Staining my shirt
Understand
I'm alive.
Stars,
Like heavenly guidance,
Shine
the way back home.

My Journal

Hidden on my shelf.
Away from all the thieves
Stealing my hoard of
Thoughts and dreams.

A cry for peace.
A dance with fairies.
A journey to the moon.
A road to death.

Realities seem far.
Distant in my mind.
Float on a cloud of imagination,
Sing my hopes out loud.
